Step 1: Creating a Clear Message that Resonates with a Dream Client

Step one is vitally important because it is legitimately a transition from a very old undefined and now a way of marketing that does not work anymore to what is going to work for the next decade and even longer. And that is having a clearly defined message that resonates with your dream client. So when we say the word resonates, it means that it identifies that you're the solution to the client's problems. 

 

Here's the thing. You might be feeling overwhelmed, maybe unsure of the time and energy to learn how to market if it's going to be a good investment. You might be also thinking that the money that you spend on marketing, on a web or graphic designer, and many other different pieces that you have to market, it is a little bit terrifying to know if any of these is actually going to work.

 

However, if you clarify and develop a clear message that resonates with your dream client, your time, your energy, and your money will not be wasted. That's the key. So if you're going to be an entrepreneur or an influencer, it's a drive. There are a lot of things that you have to do to be successful. So why would you want to waste hundreds of hours or potentially millions of dollars on marketing that does not work, or building an image that doesn't resonate with your client? That’s clearly a big question. 

 

Hence, step 1 is about clarifying that message or creating a clear message that resonates with your dream client. So if you’re an entrepreneur, I bet you would love it if I would get right to the point because you've got a lot of things to do. 

 

With that, here are the important things you need to be doing to go from a confusing message that is being tuned out to a clear message that people tune into. 

 

  1. You have got to stop leveraging all of your expertise, your investment in yourself, how amazing you are, and the most long-winded, long-form version possible, and start clearly defining that you're the Prozac to your client's problems upfront and fast. 

 

  1. You get to invite people into a story where you solve a problem. And that's what is going to separate you from your competition. It doesn't matter whether you're just an influencer, a manager of a department, a real estate agent, or you've got a huge corporation with 100 to 200 employees when you start realizing that you’ve only got three to five seconds for your ideal client or customer to trust you. 

 

You may all know that trust is a really powerful word. Do you know that the part of your brain that gives you the ability to trust somebody does not react to the information? It's actually the emotion. It's hard for you to quantify it. That’s why trust is very important every step of the way. What happens here is that your marketing, sales technique, and message spoke to the part of your brain that successfully drives consumer behavior. 

 

Moreover, when you switch gears from talking about yourself to talking directly about your client's problems, you're actually affecting their consumer behavior. You're affecting the part of their brain that drives the parts of their body that allow them to trust you, believe you, and then swipe their credit card to make a purchase from you. 

 

Therefore, all of those things are affected by your ability to switch how you put a message in front of people and what that message is. So when your message is clear, and you're seeing results, as you scale your business, you're not scared to spend money. It’s because you know that it actually works.
